Global Day of Parents
The Global Day of Parents is a recognition of the greatness of this role and its importance in building society and maintaining its cohesion and stability, given parents' critical and significant role in building individuals and shaping their personalities.
The role of parents means responsibility, commitment, knowledge, and awareness of all that young people need at different stages of life, especially early childhood, whose effects extend to the rest of the individual's life stages. The family environment that parents create guarantees and secure proper upbringing for their children. In this environment, children acquire values, morals, and knowledge.
It is essential to identify the stages of development of children, understand them, and communicate with them in a way that achieves for them a stable and secure environment, especially if the parents in this family agree to perform their roles in an integrated manner, i.e., the mother plays her role as well as the father, and the children enjoy the presence of the parents, as this makes them feel confident and happy. The absence of parents or one of them dramatically affects the upbringing of children, especially in the mental and emotional building of children.
The righteousness of parents also reflects on the righteousness of children. Therefore, preparing young people for the role of parents needs more attention, and this comes by providing them with knowledge, raising their awareness towards these tasks, providing them with educational skills, instilling values derived from their culture and society, and urging them to be righteous and upright to be an example for their children in the future in word and deed.
Regardless of cultures, religions, and ideologies, parents worldwide are considered their children's primary caregivers and teachers. They are the ones who assume responsibility for education, protection and care in all health, social, psychological, and educational forms.
Through their efforts in raising their children, the parents aspire more than anything for their children to succeed in their lives, achieve their aspirations, and be healthy and happy.
Among these responsibilities, we see that the role of parents, their dedication, and the sacrifices they make throughout their lives stress the greatness of the responsibility of parents in building and developing society and preserving its culture and the health of its construction. The parents participate with several competent authorities in building and preparing young people to be fit and able to serve their country.
Thus, the relationship between children and parents affects the lives of both parties. Despite all the attention, care, dedication, and sacrifice the parents provide for many years of their children's lives, all of this is provided with unconditional love and unlimited giving. Children's gratitude to their parents is, however, still an essential part of life; gratitude and righteousness towards parents are a sacred duty after an infinite giving, and after this significant endeavor in raising and upbringings their children, it is the role of children to take care of them, show them respect and provide them with what they need for a decent life that includes taking care of their physical and mental health, delighting their hearts and bringing happiness to their life, and continuing to treat them well.
