Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, the General Women's Union (GWU) launched the Cyber Pulse Academy for Women and Families during the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS), reinforcing the UAE's commitment to international cooperation in cybersecurity and digital safety.

The Academy builds on the success of the Cyber Pulse for Women and Families initiative, which was launched under the directives and patronage of Sheikha Fatima in partnership with the UAE Cybersecurity Council. It aims to strengthen women's role in promoting safe and responsible digital practices, establish an international network of trainers and advocates, and enhance cyber awareness at the family and community levels.

The Academy offers 13 training and awareness modules covering key cybersecurity and digital safety topics. It is open to countries wishing to join the international network through official nominations, with the goal of developing qualified community leaders capable of promoting digital resilience and protecting families from online risks.

The initiative was announced during the leadership dialogue session "Cyber Trust: Strengthening Security in the Digital Age" at WSIS, with participation from senior government officials, ministers, and international experts. It reflects the GWU's ongoing commitment to empowering women and reinforcing the UAE's position as a global partner in building a safe and sustainable digital environment.
