Under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, "Mother of the Nation," Chairwoman of the General Women's Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, and under the directives of Sheikha Fatima bint Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairwoman of the Board of the Fatima bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy and Chairwoman of Abu Dhabi Ladies Club and Al Ain Ladies Club, the Fatima bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy has announced the launch of a series of sports, cultural, and community programs and initiatives.

The Academy will host its Summer Camp under the theme "Discovering Talents" from 13 July to 6 August at its headquarters in Abu Dhabi. The camp is open to girls aged 4–10 and boys aged 4–8, as part of the Academy's 2026 events calendar.

The initiatives aim to enhance quality of life, encourage community members to adopt healthy and active lifestyles, and discover and empower emerging talents across various sports and cultural fields. Coinciding with the "Year of the Family," these initiatives reflect the Academy's ongoing commitment to promoting sport as a way of life and providing a safe, inspiring environment that supports the participation of children and women in sports, cultural, and community activities. They are aligned with the Academy's vision of empowering women, nurturing future generations, and strengthening the presence of women's sports in the UAE.

The program features a diverse range of sports, recreational, and educational activities, including basketball, volleyball, football, and martial arts, alongside entertainment segments, educational and awareness workshops, and other summer activities designed for children. These activities aim to develop participants' skills and uncover their talents in a safe and supportive environment.

The Academy also continues to support cultural and educational initiatives through the opening of the Fatima bint Mubarak Sports Academy Library, which includes publications from the Fatima bint Hazza Cultural Foundation as well as a variety of knowledge hubs. The library seeks to promote a culture of reading and lifelong learning, enhance cultural and intellectual awareness across all age groups, and serve as a platform for building a more knowledgeable society while reinforcing national identity and encouraging research, exploration, and creativity.

In conjunction with the "Year of the Family," the Fatima bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy is also offering women the opportunity to make use of its sports facilities in Abu Dhabi as part of its efforts to support wellbeing and improve quality of life. Women will have access to the running track, football pitch, and padel court within a fully integrated sports environment that encourages ongoing participation in physical activity.
