Locally

  • Since the inauguration of the first women society in 1973 and thereafter followed by the establishment of other branches and societies in the United Arab Emirates, Her Highness launched a number of initiatives and programs for health, culture and awareness. She also directed to provide well- equipped cars for this purpose in cooperation with the Ministry of Health in addition to the medical tests for Elderly and People with Special Needs at their place of residence.Launching Anti-smoking Campaign in 2001.
  • Health awareness campaign on diabetes in 2007.
  • National Traffic Safety Campaign in 2007.
  • Launching the campaigns of the Mobile Family and Childhood Centre, the first of its kind in the region to implement free treatment programs under the supervision of International Physicians and Consultants of multi-disciplines in Medicine 2008.
  • Launching Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak Award for the Integration of People with Special Needs, aimed at creating an ideal work environment to accommodate the People with Special Needs in 2009.
  • Launching Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak Competition (Illuminating Fingerprints) which is intended to honor the ladies living up with Breast Cancer Disease 2009.
  • Sponsoring the Prevention of Children Obesity program at UAE schools, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education since 2012.
  • Launching and sponsoring Cancer Awareness Program (Health is Safety and Test is Assurance) 2012-2013, in coordination with HAAD.
  • Sponsoring “Walk 2014” events held at Yas Arena within the framework of the awareness campaign titled “Diabetes – Knowledge – Initiative” which is deemed as the longest general health awareness campaign in the UAE.
  • Sponsoring the nutrition and school gardens congregation organized by the General Women’s Union and the semi-regional office of the AGCC 2014.
  • Launching and sponsoring Women Health Media Campaign under the logo (Your Health is at a Focus 2014).
  • Medical treatment for a number of People with Special Needs from Arab and Islamic Countries at the own expense of Sheikha Fatima in the United States of America.
  • Implementing a Project for the Assessment of Children Protection System in UAE to identify the gaps, needs and priorities in this field according to UNICEF approved international standards.
  • Launching the Motherhood and Childhood Database in UAE for the collection of data and distribution of the indications of the Millennium Development Objectives.
  • Preparing the National Strategy for Motherhood and Childhood in the UAE, in cooperation with UN Childhood Organization (UNICEF) for 10 years (2012-2021).
  • Launching the Nutrition Awareness and Development Project, in cooperation with the UN Food and Agricultural Organization (UNFAO) to raise awareness among the community members through learning agriculture, nutrition and healthy food systems.
  • Establishing Iwaa Centre for women who are exposed to domestic violence or victims of human trafficking without racial discrimination.
  • Patron the Global Scientific Conference of the Sheikha Fatima College of Medical Sciences on “expanding the practice of physical therapy,” Abu Dhabi November 19 to 20, 2014 AD.
  • Patron the “Fun Festival for Health and Fitness 2015″, which is held for the fourth time in a row and organized by the Abu Dhabi Centre for Technical and Vocational Education and Training.
  • Launching H.H. Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak Award for Medical Excellence in Gastroenterology to contribute providing a creative environment that fosters innovation and the exchange of international expertise in the field of gastroenterology, December, 2015.

  • Financial Support for the Handicap Children Institute, Amal Centre for Early Care under the Motherhood and Childhood Care Society in Bahrain 1995 (Million Dirhams).
  • Support and Care for the Palestinian Children Victimized by the Israeli Invasion of Sabra and Shatila Camp in 1983.
  • Financial Support to Handicap Children Centers and Women Development Society in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia 1987 (Two Million Riyals).
  • Financial Support to Syrian Women Association to support their activities and initiatives in the field of women 1987 (USD 75,000).
  • Establishing Sheikha Fatima Fund for Refugee Women and Children, in cooperation with the Red Crescent Authority and UN Refugees Higher Commission 2000.
  • Providing medical equipment and supplies to Ibn Rushd Teaching Hospital in Baghdad – Iraq 2003.
  • Constructing Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak Maternity Hospital at Tramsiya Town Ship in Ramallah – State of Palestine 2003.
  • Financial Support to all societies and organizations concerned with women and children affairs in Turkey in 1985.
  • Sponsorship of Kosovo People Support Festival 1999.
  • Implementation of 12 Projects for Women Empowerment in Afghanistan, Settlement and Relief of the Refugees n South Afghanistan 2005.
  • Establishing a 40-bed floor in Children’s Cancer Hospital 57357, Cairo, Egypt 2006.
  • Establishment of Sheikha Fatima Disabled Rehabilitation Centre at Bait Amr in Al Khalil City, State of Palestine 2008.
  • Establishing Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak Centre for Mentally Disabled in Gaza.
  • Establishing hospitals and clinics, distributing medicines and food supplies to the Palestinian camps and marginalized areas in the State of Palestine.
  • Philanthropic initiative for the treatment of eye diseases and children deformity from which more than 14,000 children in Eretria, Egypt, Bosnia, Morocco, Pakistan and Sudan have benefited since 2008.
  • Financial support to a campaign for the treatment of 1 million children with special needs in and outside the state.
  • Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak Campaign for Eye Surgery and Blindness Fighting in Morocco from which 1,700 of the Moroccan people benefited in 2008.
  • Mother of Emirates Hospital Project for Eye Diseases at Salah Moroccan City providing treatment services to more than 400,000 patients in 2008.
  • Financial support to Dar Al Hayat Children Organization which receives more than 1,450 patients per year – Marrakesh, Kingdom of Morocco 2013.
  • Inaugurating Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak Centre for Breast and Uterus Cancers at the National Institute of Oncology in the University Treatment Centre Ibn Sinaa – Rabat, Morocco which provides medical and surgical services to more than 20,000 patients per year 2013.
  • Completing of a number of projects in favor of Al Aslami Children Blood Cancer Treatment Organization in Casablanca 2013.
  • Supporting the Medicine Access Program targeting limited income patients whose number amounts to 15,000 patients per year, Morocco 2013.
  • Constructing Sheikha Fatima Hospital in Sholam City, South of Wazirstan in Pakistan 2013.
  • Supporting financially the Great Ormond Street Hospital in London, being one of the leading children hospital in the world which receives more than 220,000 children per year from more than 95 countries in the world, for the construction of the first centre in the world for children rare diseases 2014.
  • Establishing the Sheikha Fatima Children Hospital and Surgical Center in Pristina the capital of  Republic of Kosovo, March 2016.
  • launched the Sheikha Fatima Global Humanitarian Campaign “Provide Medical Treatment”, for the treatment of women and children, in Sudanese villages under the theme, “All of us are our Mother Fatima”. The initiative is part of the Fatima bint Mubarak Volunteering Programme, implemented under the supervision of young Emirati and Sudanese doctors to provide the best diagnostic, therapeutic and preventive services for women and children, September 2017.
